It seems impossible to get away with such brazen forgery, so perhaps his
motive is to actually get caught, and revel in the momentary notereity
that being such a bad boy brings.
Indeed there are some 'respectable' contemporary artists who perform
blatant forgeries and pass them off as their own art. Mike Bidlo is an
example of this. http://www.paolocurti.com/bidlo/bidlo.htm
Perhaps this guy thinks of himself as a heroic plaigerist/situationist
who has the balls to rip off other's without any shame, like some bank
robber robbing a bank in broad daylight, naked, with a Reagan mask.
Perhaps he took the Picasso aphorism "Bad artists copy. Great artists
steal." a little too seriously. He does call himself genous2000.
Not that I condone what he is doing in ANY way; I am simply offering
armchair pyschoanalysis for possible motives for such idiotic deviance.
