I'm not particularly enamoured with the word but for the time being 
making a distinction between generative and other kinds of composition 
process  can be helpful. Its sort of neater than saying 'computer 
generated non-linear algorithmic and possibly interactive'
Generative composers are simply creating music by taking advantage of 
the latest instruments and tools available.
