Hi John,

Although your definition is long winded I prefer it to my definition
"pure" generative music which sounds a little sanctimonious!

As the co-creator of the concept of iHiFi do you believe that the music
you intended creating with that system could be considered as
"condemnable"?

Hello eu-gene list

I'm not particularly enamoured with the word but for the time being 
making a distinction between generative and other kinds of composition 
process  can be helpful. Its sort of neater than saying 'computer 
generated non-linear algorithmic and possibly interactive'
Generative composers are simply creating music by taking advantage of 
the latest instruments and tools available.
