I think that Eno is generally avoided on this list because although
coined the phrase generative music to describe the music he produced
when collaborating with SSEYO when they were computer music software
program Koan in the mid 1990's, he has not pursued his initial interest
in generative music seriously having concentrated more in recent years
in producing popular recording artists and pursuing his interests in the
digital distribution of recorded music alongside Peter Gabriel. Also,
because of his popularisation of the expression generative music he is
often credited as being its inventor which, of course, he isn't.

Hey, that's interesting ! I'd like to know why !?
I'm not a fan of his music, but he is the best advocate of generative 
music in the wide world... Respected thinker as well as respected 
producer, no ? Is he taboo in some way ? His name is never mentionned 
here I realize...
