I can give you links to some of my works:
dada newsfeed: http://motorhueso.net/newsfeed
(reads newsfeeds from the web, substitutes words for synonyms, finds
images for
words)
meaning: http://motorhueso.net/meaning
(every time you visit the page, a word in it is substituted by a synonym)
la mareadora: http://mareadora.motorhueso.net
(a blog that writes itself, by finding a "famous quote" in spanish on the
internet, translates it to english, substitutes words for synonyms, then
translates it back to spanish and posts it)
I consider these works to be generative since they generate "new" texts from
existing ones, following a certain set of rules.
They don't *create* language or neologisms, they just *play around* with
existing texts.
Polygen is a language generator, based on generative grammars. Maybe it gets
closer to what you want...
http://polygen.org/web/ (last time I entered the server was down...)
They even have a downloadable software that can be used to define grammars.
By the way, the web site is in italian...
Best,
E.
